Evoken - Atra Mors (2012)

Genre: Doom Metal
Country: Canada

Well here we have Profound Lore releasing yet another excellent release, this time by doom veterans Evoken. Their fifth full length Atra Mors gives us more slow, crushing metal that they've been unleashing since the early 90's.

Skagos - Anarchic Side A (2012)

Genre: Cascadian Black Metal
Country: Canada

I'll be the first one to tell you that Skagos' past material has been rather...well... crap. Their split with Wake wasn't bad but nothing they've released has really been worthwhile. However, their newest release Anarchic is another animal entirely. It seems like they've found both quality inspiration and songwriting talent to turn that inspiration into one fluid 23-minute track of excellent, earthy black metal. The last half in particular is outstanding.

Sectarian Violence - Sectarian Violence and Conflict of Interest (2012)

Genre: Hardcore
Country: United States

Angry, rampaging, politically charged (If the band's name doesn't give that away, well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you're a tad slow) hardcore from the good old US of A that will likely lead to the destruction of a few voting poll stations...sounds good to me. Seriously..."Mitt Romney", what kind of fucking name is that?

Father Befouled - Revulsion of Seraphic Grace (2012)

Genre: Death/Doom Metal
Country: United States

So apparently Father Befouled had a new album coming out...sweet...get it...pretty much promises filth (and not that boring "Cradle of" kind).

Deathevokation - The Chalice of Ages (2007)

Genre: Death Metal
Country: United States

A brilliantly filthy slab of doomy death metal with a hint of melody, this American band bring the crush and bring it hard. It's a lengthy album with scores of twisted riffage and churning melodies drenched in atmosphere. This is the kind of album you listen to when melodic death metal is too gay and osdm needs to slow it down a bit.

Desecresy - The Doom Skeptron (2012)

Genre: Death/Doom Metal
Country: Finland

It's Finnish, it's death metal and it brings the krvsh. Need I say more?
