Ea - Ea Taesse (2006)

Genre: Doom Metal
Country: Russia

I'll be the first to admit that Ea's music isn't for everyone. It's a bit too doomy for those who are not into the genre and a bit too unorthodox and gimmicky for those who are purists. Frankly, I find myself in the middle, because I both enjoy doom (although haven't exhausted the genre's depths) and don't mind a little bit of lameness in a band's premise. These Russians choose strict anonymity and allegedly use a dead language in their songs, which might be enough to direct people to the door, but I assure you there is something here worth sticking around for. This is epic, epic stuff in a sort of dark, morose way, and Ea Taesse, the band's first LP, is probably the best at showcasing that. If you are looking for a doom experience that will consume your attention and don't mind listening to something that may not sit well with the elites of the genre, then you'd do well to listen.

I remember have listen to this album years ago. My first thought was, as you say, this isn't for everyone. Nevertheless, is one hell of an album, and I had lost it, so thank you very much for sharing!
